The weather is hot and it’s perfect for BBQing! Why not host a summer picnic for your employees? It’s a great way to boost morale, show appreciation, strengthen teamwork and, of course, a great way to have fun getting to know your employees and their families better. Once you have the picnic basics thought out (i.e. when, where, etc.), here are some ideas for entertainment to keep the party going!
Consider hosting a friendly softball, touch football or volleyball game. These can be entertaining for the guests and allow them to interact with each other in a fun environment. It might even be cool to have a trophy for the winning team! If it is an annual thing, it can possibly turn into a fun “bragging right” for whoever wins each year!
There are many team building games that you can plan for a company picnic, but just a few examples are having a relay race, toss the egg, potato sack race, water balloon toss, etc. These are great and allow individuals to team up and work together. Consider pairing employees with individuals that they don’t work with often so they can network internally and get to know others within the company a little better.
Relaxing games can consist of anything that allows the guests to just sit in the shade and kick back while still having some fun! For example, BINGO is a great relaxing game that can be played at a company picnic.
Escape from the corporate life and have some fun entertainment on-site! Hire a magician and/or a balloon artist for the kids. Also, it’s always a good idea to have a DJ to play fun music around the grounds. Music keeps the party alive and spirits high!
Inflatables & Dunk Tanks
Bouncy houses are a huge hit with the kids. This can give them hours of entertainment. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t love the idea of dunking their boss or department head? Enough said.
